Modernism around the early 20th Century was more than just one thing, but comprised a number of competing sub-movements. Sometimes these groups differed widely in their values and objectives, such as William Morris' and his Arts and Crafts group and the Bauhaus school. Here is a fairly short reading to help illustrate some of these differences.
